Community Speech Language Pathology
Speech Language Pathologists assess and treat community clients with swallowing difficulties. They devise and implement relevant treatment plans, teaching and training clients and care providers in the home to optimize nutritional intake and decrease risk of dehydration, malnutrition and respiratory complications associated with swallowing issues. Our team acts as a bridge between home and hospital to reinforce hospital-based recommendations to keep clients safe and in their home.
Community Occupational Therapy
The Occupational Therapy Team treats injured, ill, or disabled community clients in the home through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. They help clients develop, recover, improve, as well as maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. We also help children improve their cognitive, physical, sensory, and motor skills and enhance their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment in the home and school setting .
